Cabinetry Before
These cabinets were structurally solid but visually tired — worn finish, dated color, and years of surface damage made the space feel dark and outdated.
Cabinetry After
A complete refinishing transformation — refreshed color, flawless finish, and a modern look that completely revitalizes the room.
Cabinet Refinishing
Cabinet refinishing is a cost-effective way to restore and update the look of your existing cabinetry without the expense of full replacement. The process focuses on preserving the cabinet structure while renewing the finish for a clean, modern appearance.
Cabinet Refinishing Process
Inspection & Preparation
We begin by inspecting the cabinets to ensure they are structurally sound and suitable for refinishing. The work area is then carefully protected with masking and coverings to keep surrounding surfaces clean and dust-free.
Surface Preparation
Existing finishes are dulled through sanding or mechanical abrasion to create a bonding surface. Any minor dents, scratches, or imperfections are filled and smoothed.
Removal of Doors & Hardware
All cabinet doors, drawer fronts, hinges, and hardware are removed and labeled. This allows for a more precise and even finish and ensures proper reinstallation.
Priming
A professional bonding primer is applied to ensure proper adhesion and color consistency, especially when changing from dark to light finishes or from stain to paint.
Reassembly & Final Touches
Doors, drawers, and hardware are reinstalled and aligned. New hardware can also be installed at this stage if requested. A final walkthrough ensures everything meets quality standards.
Deep Cleaning & Degreasing
Cabinet surfaces are thoroughly cleaned to remove grease, oils, waxes, and residue that can prevent proper adhesion. This step is critical for a durable, long-lasting finish.
Finish Application
Multiple coats of high-quality paint are applied using professional fine-finish techniques for a smooth, factory-like appearance. Each coat is allowed to properly dry or cure before the next is applied.
